Diploma Choice
We offer three types of diplomas ranging
from a vocational work/study program to a
challenging college preparatory curriculum
which includes extra-curricular activities
designed to give the college bound student
a competitive edge.
All are conducted online. That, of
course, is what makes us a virtual
Christian high school.
College bound students planning to apply
for grants or scholarships need three years
of a foreign language to apply. All diplomas
require the student to perform 75 hours of
community service at a location of their choosing.
Supervisor evaluation is required.
Level 1 - College Preparatory Diploma
This College Preparatory Diploma is a competitive
diploma for students planning to apply for
admittance at a four year college or university.
The student who chooses this diploma must
maintain a 3.0 grade point average (GPA)
and score above the national average on
the SAT in all portions of the exam. For
this diploma, students may be required to
complete the SAT or write a 2,500 teacher-approved
research term paper. It is highly
recommended that students take AP and honor
courses, as well as participate in dual
enrollment opportunities.
Level 2 - Standard Academic Diploma
The tandard Academic Diploma is a competitive
diploma for Community College bound students
or students entering the armed forces. For
this diploma choice, the student may be
requested to write a 1,500 word teacher-approved
research paper, which will be included in
the students portfolio and permanent
file. For this diploma, students may be
required to complete the SAT or write a
teacher-approved research term
paper.
Level 3 - Vocational Diploma
The vocational diploma is for the student
who wants to start work immediately after
graduation and does not plan on attending
college. During their senior year, students
who are seeking a Vocational Diploma should
apprentice at a job in their chosen profession.
Their supervisor will provide a written
evaluation of the students performance.
The student receives one credit for every
100 hours of satisfactory work performance
up to a maximum of four credits.
