Online High School Courses – Apex

Advantages of our Apex Online High School Program

With Christian Educators Academy, your child can start earning high school credits as early as the 8th grade, with the assurance that every credit earned is fully accredited by AdvancED, and will be accepted by colleges and universities nationwide. In addition, Apex students have access to online Honors, AP and Dual-Enrollment courses.   Apex courses require a high-level of student-teacher interaction, with one or two assignments to be graded every week in every course.  Because of the frequent teacher-student interaction, we have found that Apex works best on a traditional school calendar.  For this reason, the starting and ending dates of Apex classes are flexible within limits.  Fall classes start in August/September and end in December/January.  Spring classes start in January and end in May/June.  Because of the high degree of teacher-student interaction, our Apex curriculum is not available during the two school vacations at Christmas and during the summer.

** Students may take AP courses only if they have successfully completed at least 4 Honors courses.  Due to the rigorous writing requirements of most AP courses, we strongly recommend that these courses be taken in the 11th and 12th grades, after students have proven that they can meet college board standards.  Please note that all AP courses are taught strictly according to Collegeboard.org standards, and are cannot be modified.  To receive AP credit for an AP course, students must take and pass the AP exam. If they pass the course but fail the exam, or do not take the exam, they will receive Honors credit instead.
